Update on service delivery changes in response to the Coronavirus outbreak
Citizens Advice Cheshire North have suspended face-to-face advice services across all sites for the foreseeable future. However, we are still open and delivering information and advice in other ways, with our staff home working to give service from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
There are a number of ways people can continue to get advice during this time.
- For people in Macclesfield, Wilmslow, Knutsford and Poynton areas we are now operating a call back telephone advice service. If you want help please call 01625-708608 and leave your details on the Ansaphone. Then you will receive a call back quite quickly.
- We are also delivering general advice via the national Adviceline service which people can reach by calling 03 444 111 444.
- We are also delivering advice by email and if you would like to use this service complete this form https://www.citizensadvicecn.org.uk/email and we will be in touch.
- People can chat online to an adviser by visiting the Citizens Advice website at citizensadvice.org.uk/contact-us/ for Universal Credit, Debt and Consumer issues..
- People looking for advice on consumer issues (e.g. issues related to products or services you've purchased) can contact the Citizens Advice consumer helpline on 0808 223 1133 or chat online to an advisor via citizensadvice.org.uk/contact-us/
- Anyone seeking to make a new claim for Universal Credit should call the Universal Credit Help to Claim line on 0800 1448444.

Research & Campaigns
Many clients come to Citizens Advice to seek advice in dealing with a problem and often the cause of their problem is an unfair policy, practice or piece of legislation. Statistics from client problems are used by Citizens Advice to campaign for changes in policies and services where improvements are needed – solving problems for people who may never even use our services. We talk to Government, local councils and other policy makers to help them improve the laws and services that affect ordinary people.
